Many of us have leftover Turkey in the fridge that if not already, will soon be divided and made into sandwiches and soup. By the time it’s all gone, it’ll be time to throw another turkey in the oven for our Christmas Day festivities.
However, while we’re cozy in our homes celebrating the holidays with our families, there are other families isolated in waiting areas, going one by one into a sterile hospital room to check on their baby boy or girl, struggling to survive.
Ragan’s HOPE volunteers know what this is like, to have long-awaited celebratory events be circumvented by medical emergencies and hospital stays. These incredible volunteers came together and made 52 Thanksgiving baskets that were assembled and delivered – 27 to families supported by Ragan’s HOPE, and 25 to families who because of a Thanksgiving week discharge, had no time to think about or prepare a family feast. Thank you, Ragan’s HOPE Volunteers, for your dedicated service to our mission.
Ragan’s HOPE would not exist without our dedicated volunteers, who give not only of their time, but also their resources, to support families in need. But so much more is needed. If you would like more information on being a Ragan’s HOPE volunteer, or if you would like to give to this 503(c) organization for your year-end giving, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
If you or someone you know is going through a family medical crisis regarding a child, please let us know immediately by submitting a contact form – this is why we are here.
Your time, your prayers, and your donations are more than appreciated, they are crucial to our continuing efforts of offering hope to families who desperately need the support that Ragan’s HOPE provides.
