Prayer Changes Things

We have all heard the old adage that “Prayer Changes Things”.   Well, it does!  When we prayer about the big things or the smallest things on our list of concerns, prayer will bring about change.  There are several ways in which things can through prayer.  Here are just a few…

  • Prayer can change our current view of the situation
  • Prayer can increase our faith and bolster our confidence
  • Prayer can give us peace in the middle of our storms
  • Prayer can bring about change in the actions or behavior of others
  • Prayer can cause miracles to happen
  • Prayer can increase our ability to trust as we hand off our problem(s) to God
  • Prayer just does a multitude of good

Prayers do not have to be a complexity of well-formed phrases and words.  They can be as simple as asking in a child-like manner.  We understand that if we have a child-like faith (Matthew 7:9-11) the size of a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20 NLV), God hears us and will answer in his time frame.  God’s answer is not always immediate, but sometimes we see answers to prayers days, weeks, months or even years down the road.  The question I would ask myself is…  if I find myself in a situation too big for me to handle, why would I not ask for help.  It can’t hurt and most likely will help.
